Huddle Play Couch Overview
The Huddle play couch appears to be Walmart’s main version of a play couch. Very similar to the Sam’s Club play couch. They produce one main play couch style in multiple colors. It’s one of the lowest priced play couches on the market. The play couch is notably smaller than competitors like Figgy and Nugget.
What’s Included?
Four (4) Base Cushions that are 28" x 28". The top two cushions are sewn together and the bottom two cushions are sewn together.
The top pieces are thinner than the bottom pieces.
Two (2) triangle cushions that are are 18" high.
Cover in a polyester material.
NO WATERPROOF LINER OPTIONS.
Huddle Play Couch Quality/Durability.
The Huddle play couch is priced cheaper than most play couches on the market and can be bought, depending on the sale, from between $60 and $100 a set. I say this to put the quality and durability in context. The foam is NOT CertiPUR-US certified, nor are any of the fabrics certified. The polyester cover is not a very thick or soft hand-feel.
The foam says it is designed to hold up to 200lbs, however, from just squeezing it with my hand it is incredibly soft. This is not the play couch you buy if you have bigger kids/toddlers or if you want it to last.
The Huddle play couch only weighs about 5lbs, compare that with the Figgy that clocks in at 35lbs. The heavier the couch, the denser and sturdier the foam.

The foam is sourced from China. As mentioned above, it does not appear to have any safety certifications. This always gives me pause because foam is made from chemicals, and cheap foam often contains formaldehyde and other harmful substances.
Huddle Play Couch Fabric
The fabric is made from polyester. It does not say whether it contains and flame retardants. Some reviews note that the fabric easily attracts dirt and lint, making it hard to keep clean and looking nice. It does not say if you can wash the covers. IT DOES NOT HAVE WATERPROOF LINERS.
Huddle Play Couch Cost
The Huddle play couch costs between $60 and $100 depending on the sale. This is incredibly cheap and is likely why the size is smaller than most play couches and the quality is poor.
Huddle Play Couch Overall Value
The Huddle play couch gets a 2/10. It’s cheap, yes, but you get what you pay for. Without the safety certifications, I wouldn’t feel comfortable using it with my baby - and because of the size and density of the foam - it’s not likely to hold up to much use by a toddler or small child.
The quality of this play couch is low, it’s mass produced in China and is not going to be very functional when it comes to building forts, ramps or things to play on. I would be very surprised if the Huddle play couch held up long-term.
